12 stages.

A series of visual narratives exploring geometry, graphic design, and sequential art.

A collection of short stories utilising an essential colour palette and fundamental geometric shapes. Each story progresses through a rigorously designed sequence, unfolding over 12 distinct steps.

This project is the result od decades of experience in animation, coupled with a sustained passion for choreography. My fascination has always centred on the foundational blueprint of a creative piece, whether it's a storyboard in animation or the score in dance. There's a captivating element in deconstructing an action to see how each stage on a timeline is positioned between a preceding and a following moment. This project began as a reflective exercise, an attempt to strip my practice down to its essential structure. Starting with a single shape on the screen and the question, 'Where can I take this?' I developed a series that eventually gave the title to the work.
